Ramshackle
Apprentice
Journeyman
Mastercraft
Ascendant

In general, I'd recommend you have Journeyman or better gear and saddles.

Bosses tend to have 3 levels of difficulty

Gamma
Easiest difficulty.

Beta
Medium difficulty

Alpha
Hardest difficulty. Have your creature army bred and have Ascended saddles on them.
