Bosses tend to have 3 levels of difficulty
Gamma
Easiest difficulty. Really no need to breed for stats, just have enough of tames with at least Ramshackle saddles on them.
Beta
Medium difficulty. Have your creature army bred with high stats and have at least Journeyman saddles on them. (I personally do this for Gamma.)
Alpha
Hardest difficulty. Have your creature army bred with the highest stats and mutations you can and have Ascended saddles on them.

Re: Bosses
Tributes
Bosses also require tributes. Tributes are specific items that you collect, such as Artifacts and Trophies dropped by certain creatures. They are used to teleport you and your tames from the obelisk or terminal to that specific boss's arena. Each boss has different tribute requirements. They also have more tribute requirements at Beta and Alpha difficulties.

Re: Bosses
Artifacts
These are special items that are normally found in caves (some are found in the open on specific maps). Their main purpose is to be used to summon bosses, but they also make great trophy decorations for your base.
The player can only carry one artifact of each type at a time, but there is still a way you can carry 2 of the same type! The Otter is able to carry multiple artifacts (doesn't matter what type) in its inventory, so be sure to have one with you before you go after an artifact.

Re: Bosses
Tame Army
Bosses are tough. That's why you need an "army" of tames. Never take just your single strongest tame into a boss arena. You and your tame most likely won't make it out alive. You'll need to breed an army of tames. Most boss arenas allow 10 survivors and 20 tames in at one time.
Hint: Certain creatures are better at fighting certain bosses than others. For example: Take an army of Megatheriums to fight the Broodmother. The Broodmother is a spider, an insect. Megatherium have a unique mechanic where it deals 50% extra damage to insects! Once it kills an insect, it will also have a buff where its damage increases by 250% and it reduces the damage received by 75%. So yeah, have a strong Megatherium army for the Broodmother!
