Relationship Score is ranged from -100 to +100.

If your relationship score with another sim is above 50, congratulations! You made a friend! You've unlocked some new interactions. At this point, you can turn a friendship into a romance depending on your intentions.

The relationship score does decay over time on its own for all sims (2 points per day). Another thing that can bring down your relationship score is poor interactions.

Green plus signs next to a two sim icon means that that interaction added to their relationship score. Their relationship improved! Red negative signs means their relationship deteriorated.

The outcome of any social interaction depends on the sims' mood, current relationship score, age, and gender.

Relationships get more complex in the Hot Date expansion.
